Sudhir Pillai

General Manager, Homes, Honeywell Home and Building Technologies, India

Sudhir Pillai was appointed General Manager, Homes, Honeywell Home and Building Technologies on March 22, 2017. In this role, he is responsible for developing and executing Honeywell connected homes business strategy for the India region. Pillai joined Honeywell in August 2007. Prior to his current role, he has held multiple leadership roles at Honeywell over the last 10 years, including Sales Director, South East Asia for the ersthwhile Honeywell Envoirnmental & Energy Solutions; Marketing Director, Honeywell Security Group, and Sales Leader for ADI. Pillai is also a Director on the board of Elster Metering Pvt. Ltd. He brings to the business a successful track record from a career spanning more than 19 years, with a mix of sales, profit, P&L, people management, and a rich business experience. He is proficient in exploring and developing new markets, brand promotion, new product launches, and accelerating growth and achieving desired sales goals. Before joining Honeywell, Pillai worked with Ingram Micro India Limited, where he spent more than seven years where he was instrumental in managing the P&L while growing the business for their Enterprise Solutions group. Pillai earned his MBA in Business Management and a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Sciences from the Pune University. Pillai lives in Pune with his wife, Rekha and their nine-year old daughter, Rhea

Ashish Podar

Senior Director EFM & Asset Services, India

Ashish leads the Service Delivery Group for Enterprise Facilities Management and Asset Services for CBRE India. His role is to provide leadership to achieve corporate strategies, support business growth and manage change to drive organizational performance. He is responsible to provide active oversight and management guidelines to the Facilities & Property Management Operations with a focus on transitions, Strategic Sourcing, best practices, continual improvement programs, Quality Assessments and Innovation. Ashish has been with CBRE for 17 years and has gained vast experience in all aspects of Property and Facilities management. Barun Aggarwal is a serial entrepreneur with international experience spanning 20 years in several continents. In his current role, he founded and runs BreatheEasy Consultants Pvt Ltd – the leading full service Indoor Air Quality consulting and remediation specialists in India. Barun serves on the Indoor Air Quality assessment working group of USGBC He is a founding member of Indoor Air Quality Association, USA , India Chapter. President – Futuristic Cities

Ms. Karuna Gopal, is an Internationally acclaimed Thought Leader, IVLP Fellow , Keynote Speaker and Advisor on SMART CITIES. She is the Founder President of Foundation for Futuristic Cities, a Think Tank that has influenced Urban Transformation in India for over a decade. Ms Gopal contributed to the design of the 100 SMART CITIES MISSION of Government of India and has been an invited speaker at the launch of the mission by the Prime Minister. At the event, her innovation “CITIZENS for CITY – 2007” a disruptive tool to engage citizens in governance, has been showcased as a National Best Practice. Her innovation ‘Sculpt Your City’ has shaped the guidelines of the Mission. Ms Gopal was a member of the Speaker delegation representing the India at COP21-United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), PARIS 2015. In the past, she served as an Urban Expert for The World Bank, DFID (Department for International Development, UK), USAID (United States Agency for International Development), BMGF (Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation) & ADB (Asian Development Bank) Ms Gopal regularly gets invited by Country Governments like Singapore, Philippines, Turkey, Israel, UAE, USA & UK to lend her expertise in Urban Transformation. Rajat Malhotra

Chief Operating Officer Integrated Facilities Management, West Asia – JLL

Current Responsibilities Rajat Malhotra is the Chief Operating Officer for IFM, West Asia.  Rajat oversees business infrastructure functions and leads the SME platform that supports core IFM operations.  These functions are JLL’s best practice platforms such as Engineering & Operations Solutions (EOS), Energy & Sustainability Services (ESS), Supply Chain Management & Procurement, Transition, Compliance, Risk Management & Technology. The ESS and EOS groups in specific provides subject matter expertise support to IFM and other business lines in the domains of sustainability, environment health & safety and critical engineering. Experience Rajat brings along over 25 years of experience in maintenance management as well as engineering & sustainability. He has worked in the submarine arm of the Navy and in the course of his career, been the chief engineer for 3 different classes of submarines. He holds a Masters degree in Nuclear Technology and has been with JLL’s Integrated Facilities Management Business for over 7 years. He has led a number of business excellence, sustainability, risk management, technology and productivity projects in FM that have brought in significant value to clients in their Real Estate Operations. He has also spearheaded a number of engineering consulting projects involving critical engineering design reviews, energy optimization, risk assessments as well as test & commissioning. Rajat is a member of the Executive Committee of IGBC and works closely with them to provide the necessary impetus to the Green Building Movement in India. He chairs the Advisory Board of Economic Times’ Global Green Summit and is well known in Building Engineering, Safety and Sustainability Industrial Forums. Ty Fastovsky

Managing Principal, Asia Pacific

Ty Fastovsky is a Managing Principal in charge of the Asia Pacific region for Trascent and is based in Singapore. Mr. Fastovsky provides project management and client relationship expertise in the delivery of outsourcing services, organizational effectiveness and re-design, and performance improvement. He has particular expertise in corporate real estate, project management and facilities management (CRE/PM/FM) outsourcing, capacity planning, financial analysis, and benchmarking. Ty has over 18 years of consulting, financial services and manufacturing experience. He joined Trascent in 2007 and has been supporting clients globally on CRE/PM/FM initiatives since that time. During his time at Trascent, Ty has led multiple RFP efforts for clients and has negotiated over $3 billion (total contract value) in global CRE/ PM/FM agreements in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
